The Alumni Association in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, SRM IST is organizing interactive sessions with our Alumni, Industry experts, Entrepreneurs and Researchers to make students:
- Industry ready graduates
- Take up the challenges and plan for solving industrial problems
- Plan for Internships / projects / Collaborative work in industries
- Networking with peers
- Creative thinking and Transformation of ideas to product / reality
- Ready for Start-ups
- Aware of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Patents and Professional ethics
- Know current industrial requirements and standards
- Plan for professional development
- Improve thinking skills, presentation skills, analytical and communication skills
- Opportunities in Public, Private sectors and Research Institutions
- Acquire decision making skills with time management
In this regard frequent interactive sessions were arranged between the students and the peers (Industrial Experts, Alumni, Entrepreneurs and Researchers).
